PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the cost burden of a user as much as possible in the extension or improvement in function of an IC card. SOLUTION: This adapter is used by being connected to an IC card 1 having a main connector 2 for connection to a prescribed electronic equipment on one side surface and sub-connectors 3A, 3B for adapter connection on the other side surface. This adapter has primary connectors 12A, 12B to be connected to the auxiliary connectors 3A, 3B of the IC card 1, a secondary connector 13 to be connected to the other electronic equipment or communication line, and an electric circuit board having a prescribed electronic part integrated thereto. Further, both the connectors 12A, 12B, 13 are connected to the electric circuit board, whereby an adapter module is formed. This adapter module has other prescribed functions differed from the functions possessed by the IC card 1. |
