PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the optical pickup small-sized and low-cost by recording, reproducing, and erasing information on plural kinds of disk which have different physical characteristics and track pitches according to the thicknesses and materials of their substrates. SOLUTION: This pickup as an optical information recording and reproducing device, which can record, reproduce, and erase information on plural kinds of disk 7 having different physical characteristics and track pitches according to the thicknesses and materials of their substrates, have plural aberration correction plates 6a and 6b which correct spot focuses and plural gratings 3a and 3b which split light from a light source into plural beams; and the aberration correction plates 6a and 6b and gratings 3a and 3b are switched by a pinch roller 9 at the same time. |
