<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively obtain a color filter array of a high density by using a heat melting technique by incorporating a polymer contg. a specific org. plasticizer into a dye image receptive layer. SOLUTION: A dye-donative element having the dye layer is heated imagewise. The dye layer is superposed on the dye image receptive layer of the dye image receptive element. The dye image receptive layer contains a glass transition temp. higher than the sublimation temp. of the dye and includes the polymer contg. the org. plasticizer of the amt. at which the glass transition temp. of the dye image receptive layer is lower than the sublimation temp. of the dye. Dye patterns are formed by transferring the parts of the dye layer to the dye receptive layer. The dye image receptive element is melt heat treated at the temp. which is lower than the sublimation temp. of the dye and at the temp. and for the time at and for which the dye is not layered and formed on the surface. For example, ethyl benzoate, catecol, etc., are used as the plasticizer.</p> |
