PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the structure, reduce the production cost, and simplify the current injection into windings by setting a He tank contg. the windings of a magnet in a vacuum chamber, isolating the tank from the chamber through a thermal shield and coupling a service turret, a tube and conductor with the shield. SOLUTION: Windings 5 are housed in a He-filled tank 6 having an outer and inner shells 7 and 8, the tank 6 is settled in a vacuum chamber 9 outer wall of which is defined by a housing 1. An inner and outer thermal shields 11 and 12 are disposed between the outer shell 7 and housing 1 but isolated therefrom. A cooler 13 is coupled with the shields 11 and 12. At a neck 16 a service turret 15 is mounted, piercing the shields 11 and 12 and extending out through the outer wall of the housing 1. An inner and outer shield tubes 18 and 17 extent round the ends of the tank 6 and are connected to the shields 11 and 12. |
