PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an exposed image high in contrast on a photosensitive member while forming a highly detailed image of high image quality by synthesizing first laser beam modulated corresponding to an image signal and second laser beam modulated corresponding to a reversal image signal obtained by reversing the image signal on the photosensitive member. SOLUTION: On the basis of image data, an image signal is outputted to a laser driving circuit 12A from the image signal control part 11 of an image recording control part 10 and a reversal image signal is outputted to a laser driving circuit 12B. Semiconductor laser 1A is driven by the laser driving circuit 12A using a drive current obtaining exposure quantity perfectly destaticizing a photosensitive drum 9 to emit a first laser beam. Semiconductor laser 1B is driven by the laser driving circuit 12B using a drive current obtaining exposure quantity not almost destaticizing the photosensitive drum 9 to emit a second laser beam. These laser beams are allowed to scan on the photosensitive drum 9 through a polygon mirror 6 and an fθlens 7 to form a synthetic exposed image.
