<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To install an air conditioner and a its containing unit of excellent appearance by a method wherein the air conditioner is installed in a recessed space surrounded with a ceiling surface between adjoining columns and a floor surface, the containing unit is arranged adjacently to the air conditioner, and the fronts of the air conditioner and the containing unit are positioned approximately flush with the column. SOLUTION: An air conditioner 3 and its containing unit 4 are laterally arranged in a recessed space 2 surrounded with a ceiling surface between adjoining columns 1 and 1 in a room 8, and a floor surface, and wall surfaces and the containing unit 4 is arranged at the central part of the recessed space 2. An air conditioner 3 and a space 13 for maintenance are disposed laterally adjacently to the containing unit 4. The height of the air conditioner 3 is set to a value lower than the overall height of the recessed space 2 and a depth D2 of the air conditioner 3 is set to a value lower (D2 >D3 ) than a depth D3 of the whole of the recessed space 2. By arranging the air conditioner 3 near a front F of the recessed space 2 in such a manner that a front 3a of the air conditioner 3 is positioned flush with fronts 1a of the columns 1 and 1, simultaneously with production of an integral feeling with the columns 1 and 1, and heat dissipating ability is also improved.</p> |
