PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability of transmission rate estimation by estimating a transmission rate based on both of the S/N of a reception symbol and the decoding quality of convolution decoding. SOLUTION: The reception symbol outputted from a reverse spread spectrum part 9 is given to a terminal 15, and each accumulator connected in serial limits the band of a received sample value to prepare plural band limiting signal. In addition, each electric power measuring instrument determines the average power of the output signals of each accumulator. The outputs of these electric power measuring instruments are given to a transmission rate estimating equipment 23 and the transmission rate estimating equipment 23 estimates the transmission rate of a code inserted to a received signal based on this average power. Then the estimated transmission rate is outputted from a terminal 24 to an integration processing part 10 and a convolution decoding part 11. Thereby the transmission rate is estimated without using a method such as CRC check. |
