PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To arrow the video conference equipment to store and reproduce audio and video information and to conduct message transmission reception during absence. SOLUTION: A multiplexer section 21 of the video conference equipment multiplexes data resulting from coding a voice signal by a voice CODEC 11 and data resulting from coding a video signal by a video CODEC 12 and sends the multiplexed signal to a line, and the voice CODEC 11 reproduces a voice signal from voice data resulting from demultiplexing a reception signal from the line at a demultiplexer section 23 and the video CODEC 12 reproduces a video signal from video data resulting from demultiplexing the reception signal from the line at the demultiplexer section 23. In this case, a synchronizing signal being a reference of a line speed at multiplexing by the multiplexer section 21 is used to conduct the coding of the voice signal in the voice CODEC 11 and the coding of the video signal in the video CODEC 12 and a synchronizing signal being a reference of a line speed at demultiplexing by the demultiplexer section 23 is used to conduct the decoding of the voice signal in the voice CODEC 11 and the decoding of the video signal in the video CODEC 12. |
