METHOD FOR CONTROLLING MEANDERING OF STEEL STRIP IN CONTINUOUS ROLLING MILL AND DEVICE THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely suppress the meandering of a steel strip even when the tail end part of the steel strip occurring the meandering in a short time is rolled. SOLUTION: A wedge ratio calculating parts 18A. 18B for respectively calculating the inlet-side wedge ratio W1 /H1 and the outlet-side wedge ratio W0 /H0 by using respective thicknesses H1 , H0 from the inlet-side wedge amount W1 and the outlet-side wedge amount W0 which are measured on the inlet side and the outlet side of at least one rolling stand of a continuous rolling mill for rolling the band plate are provided. Further, this device is provided with a subtracter 20 for calculating the difference between the outlet-side wedge ratio and the inlet-side wedge ratio, multiplier 22 for multiplying the difference (W0 /H0 -W1 /H1 ) between the wedge ratios determined with the subtracter by influence coefficient A and control gain multiplier 24 for calculating the manipulated variable of leveling for equalizing the outlet-side wedge ratio to the inlet- side wedge ratio by multiplying the multiplied result by a control gain.
