PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reader writer which is reducible in overall height and a small-sized compact opening and closing type. SOLUTION: A device main body is divided into an upper chassis 31 and a lower chassis 32 which are freely opened and a driving roller for conveying a magnetic card, a pressure roller, a magnetic head, a thermal head, etc., are arranged therein. On the upper chassis 31, an opening/closing handle 43 formed by bending a wire material almost in a channel shape is pivoted. The opening/ closing handle 43 is normally fallen on the upper chassis 31. To clean the inside, the opening/closing handle 43 is raised and the upper chassis 31 is opened. Therefore, the overall height of the device is reducible and the upper chassis 31 can easily be opened and closed. |
