<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare the subject vaccine, comprising a specific heterologous vector and a live Newcastle disease virus(NDV) vaccine strain as active ingredients, capable of systemically and locally arousing immune reaction due to synergistic actions and effective against infection with the NDV. SOLUTION: This combination type Newcastle disease viral vaccine comprises (A) a heterologous vector capable of expressing (i) an NDV immunogen subunit or (ii) an NDV immunogen protein (preferably a live virus vector) as the first active ingredient and further (B) a live NDV vaccine strain. The ingredient (i) is an expression product of an insect cell expression system, especially that of a recombinant baculovirus and the ingredient A is a herpes virus of turkeys (HVT) or a fowlpox virus(FPV). The ingredient B is a low toxic NDV strain having a long latent period and a C2 strain deposited with the CNCM of the Institut Pasteur as a stipulation No. I-1614.</p> |
