PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an accurate filling wt. by a wt. type filling apparatus. SOLUTION: A filling nozzle 21 filling the container 8 on a bottle stand 9 with the liquid sent from a filling liquid tank, the liquid valve 40 opening and closing a filling liquid passage 18, the load cell 4 measuring the wt. of the container 8 on the bottle stand 9 and the control means 50 controlling the opening and closing of the liquid valve 40 are provided. The difference between the wt. at a point of time when the liquid valve 40 is closed and a final filling wt. is head quantity and the head quantity and the flow rate of the liquid during filling is calculated at every filling. The flow rate is calculated from an increased wt. within a definite time. A flow rate X is calculated during filling of a next time and an estimate head quantity Y in the filling of this time is calculated from the head quantity A and flow rate B of the previous time and the flow rate X of this time according to a numerical formula Y=K×A×X/ B+(1-K)×A (wherein there are a part proportional to a flow rate and a part not proportional thereto in head quantity and a flow rate control coefficient shows a flow rate proportional part). The liquid valve 40 is closed when the liquid becomes a wt. calculated by subtracting the estimate head quantity Y from an objective filling wt.
