PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separating pawl made of a heat resistant resin capable of sufficiently withstanding long-term continuous use without causing separating direction deffects or paper jamming without impairing the thermal conductivity and electrical conductivity thereof by coating the surface layer at least at the front end of the separating pawl with a fluorinated polyether polymer. SOLUTION: The surface layers at least at the front ends of the separating pawls made of a heat resistant resin are coated with a fluorinated polyether polymer. The fluorinated polyether polymer is a polymer expressed by formula -CX1 F2 X1 -O- as the main structural unit which is terminal-bonded with at least one polar group. In the formula, X1 is an integer from 1 to 4. A fixing roller is a fixing roller heated to 170 to 270 deg.C. The heat resistant resins used here is, for example, an arom. polyimide resin, polyimide resin, etc., having a mechanical strength to make the resin usable continuously as a separating pawl material for fixing paper at an atmospheric temp. of 150 deg.C or above. |
