PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the subject external preparation containing an antiinflammatory agent and titanium oxide, effective for suppressing the development of photosensitive syndrome and suitable for endermic administration, etc. SOLUTION: This external preparation contains (A) 0.01-10wt.% of an antiinflammatory agent and (B) 0.1-20wt.% of titanium oxide. Preferably, the component B is fine particles having an average particle diameter of 0.05-7μm and surface-coated with a metallic soap and the component A is a nonsteroidal antiinflammatory agent, concretely one or more substances selected from suprofen, ketoprofen, ketotifen, piroxicam, indomethacin, tiaprofenic acid, carprofen, benoxaprofen, ibuprofen, fenbufen, diclofenac, flurbiprofen, fenoprofen, naproxen, ibufenac, diphenhydramine, pimeprofen, bufexamac, bendazac and tenoxicam, especially suprofen. |
