<p>A silica-soda-lime glass composition suitable for making glazing. Said glass consists of 69-75 wt percent SiO2, 0-3 wt percent Al2O3, 0-5 wt percent B2O3, 2-10 wt percent CaO, 0-2 wt percent MgO, 9-17 wt percent Na2O, 0-8 wt percent K2O, 0.2-4 wt percent Fe2O3 (total iron), and 0-0.45 wt percent Se, CoO, Cr2O3, NiO, CuO. The amount of tinting agents other than iron is at least 0.0002 wt percent when the Fe2O3 content is 0.5 wt percent or less. The composition may also contain fluorine; zinc, zirconium, cerium and titanium oxides; and less than 4 wt percent barium oxide; while the sum of the percentages of alkaline earth oxides is not above 10 wt percent .</p> |
