The present invention discloses a cap and pouring assembly for containers or recipients used for liquids, particularly edible liquids. The assembly comprises a cap means and a pouring means, both of them preferably made of moulded plastic. The cap means comprises a generally disk-shaped, cylindrical body, which is covered at the upper part thereof; said cap means also includes a flange which facilitates fastening and pressure to open the cap, as well as a coupling. The cap further includes a safety perimetrical belt which can be detached to open the assembly. The pouring means, which is arranged inside the cap means, comprises a more complex structure having a cylindrical body integral with a container neck. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the pouring means includes, in an annular space thereof, eight radii which converge in a central annular portion, said radii determining and facilitating the pour quality. It also includes a sealing or anchoring structure which allows the pouring means to be anchored to the container neck, said structure having a better performance relative to that of the previous art.
