SUBSTANCE: method includes immersing refractory tube below level of metal, feeding pressured gas through the tube, and measuring depth of tube end immersion and gas pressure on tube inlet. In the course of blowing, current depth of tube end immersion H (m) is found from relationship: H = K(P $$$) where P is gas pressure on tube inlet with initial fixed tube immersion depth, kg/sq.m, $$$ current value of change in gas pressure on tube inlet in the course of blowing of metal, kg/sq.m; K = 0.00008-0.00015 is empirical coefficient taking into account hydrodynamic lows of gas flow from tube into liquid metal, cu.m/kg. In addition, gas pressure in tube inlet is maintained constant using varying tube immersion depth. EFFECT: increased productivity and stability of process. |
