Nails held in the arm are driven into wooden parts used to make the pallet, travelling on a conveyor, by lowering the arm so that the support surface (4) at the free end of the arm (3) is pressed against the part. The arm is spring-loaded to enable it to be locked into a position where it is raised above the conveyor carrying the pallet parts. The same spring-loading ensures that pressing down up the arm after insertion of the nail returns the arm to its raised position. |
