The water intake is partially submerged in the water and has a catchment tank with an intake (15) and a exit, which is linked to the pumping station to create a flow of liquid through the tank. The tank is compartmentalised forming three chambers (6A, 6B, 6C). The first chamber has at least one wall (16) which is an outer wall where the intake (15) is positioned. The third chamber (6C) has the exit (14). The chambers are interconnected. The opening between the first and second chambers is lower than the overflow opening (8) between the second and third chambers, to prevent impurities getting into the third chamber. |
