FIELD: military caterpillar vehicles, where measurement of the angle of train of the instrument installed in the turret an a turnable relative to the vehicle body is required irrespective of the turret position. SUBSTANCE: azimuth device drive uses a tapered reduction gear hinge-joined to the upper turret race, worm reduction gear suspended from a bracket of the turret turnable with employment of a ball bearing. Output shaft of the tapered reduction gear and the input shaft of the worm reduction gear are coupled through propeller shaft, whose protective housing is used to prevent rotation of the worm reduction gear case relative to the turret. To reduce error of manufacture and simplify procedure of mounting, housing is made up of two parts movable relative to each other, hinge-joined to tapered and worm reduction gear cases. The worm reduction gear case mounts the aiming mechanism, whose worm shaft is engaged with the quadrant located on the turnable bracket. The azimuth device is connected to the output shaft of the worm reduction through a double-slider coupling. EFFECT: improved design. |
