The invention concerns a sealing system for a sterile syringe with a glass syringe cylinder, a locking part which adheres to the glass nozzle part by frictional connection and/or form-locking and is disposed at a spacing from the base of the syringe cylinder, and with a sealing cap of resilient, sterilizable material for sealing the nozzle part. The lubricant-treated sealing cap is secured by a safety cap in the nozzle region. The sealing cap, disposed on the outer cone of the nozzle part, and the locking part are surrounded at least in given regions by the safety cap in order to secure them axially. For this purpose, the safety cap comprises at its front end a resilient embracing section in which are disposed engaging elements which engage at least in sections behind the rear end of the locking part such that these elements can be detached without being destroyed. The invention provides a sealing system for sterile, pre-filled glass syringes of which the structural parts and components can be sterilized individually and in the assembled state. Thus, even when lubricant-coated components are used, the sealing system remains tightly and permanently sealed until the contents of the syringe are administered. |
