PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the accuracy of specifying a catheter position up to a few mm, by applying comparatively small current in vicinity of the mapping object area of a patient's body to measure three-dimensionally. SOLUTION: An x-signal, a y-signal, and a z-signal mutually orthoganally crossed are applied on a search object area of a heart etc., in a patient's body. Next, a catheter 46 equipped with a mapping electrode 47 as a tip electrode is inserted into the search object area in a body to connect with three detecting channels comprising digital filters 50, 50', 54, 54', 57, and 57', amplifying circuits 51, 51', 55, 55', 58, and 58', and low-pass filters 52, 52', 56, 56', 59, and 59'. Those three detecting channels detect respective signals induced at a position of the mapping electrode 47 by three current signals respectively applied, and calculate the position of the mapping electrode 47 based on respectively detected signals. Thus, the accuracy of specifying the position of the mapping electrode 47 can be improved up to a few mm. |
