The invention relates to a hydraulic vehicle brake system with a hydraulic power booster (2) for actuating a master cylinder (15), an external pressure source comprising a pump (11) and an accumulator (4). A pressure reducing valve (22) controllable by the regulated pressure of the power booster (2) is arranged preferably in the hydraulic connection between the accumulator (4) and the feed connection (8) of the power booster (2). Said hydraulic vehicle brake system also has a pressure medium line connected to the return (1) of the power booster (2) and leading to a reservoir (3), and wheel brakes VR, HL, HR, VL connected to the master cylinder (15) which are provided, for control of wheel slip, with pressure modulation valves (17, 18). For automatic brake engagement, the return (1) of the power booster (2) to the reservoir (3) is separated, and the accumulator (4) is connected to the return (1) of the power booster (2). |
