The chamber has a base made from fixed (10) and moving (11) members, the latter being able to move vertically to open slots (13) in the base which allow for the passage of a maintenance trolley (2). The slots have the same shape as the moving members, so that the base is sealed when the moving members are in their lower position. The moving elements are carried by lifters (12) of adjustable height; they have sloping sides and are broader at the top than at the bottom, and they extend along the whole length of the chamber, lying parallel to one another and the chamber's axis. |
