The optical image projection device incorporates an objective lens (2) mounted in a table (3) which has a swivelling support (1). The hinge of the swivelling support is situated at the top of an arm fastened to a table supporting a document or objective being viewed. A mirror (6) is mounted on a pivot with an angle scale (8) on or near the pivot for the table holding the lens. There may be a switch or knob (4) near the front of the table near the user (12), coupled to an actuator.
