The invention relates to amphiphilic compounds of the general formula (I) with at least two hydrophilic and at least two hydrophobic groups based on carbonic acid derivatives. The spacer A is an alphatic, cyclic or acyclic or an aromatic dicarbonic acid esters, oligocarbonic acid esters or polycarbonic acid esters of the formula (II). The amphilic compounds according to the invention are generally surface active and are suitable as emulsifying agents, demulsifying agents, detergents, dispersion agents and hydrotropic products for industrial and domestic use, for example in the fields of metal working, ore mining, surface finishing, plastic processing, washing and cleaning, cleaning of hard surfaces, (i.e. washing-up liquid), in cosmetics, medicine and the processing and preparation of food. |
