<p>A rowing simulator (10) includes a frame (12), a seat (20) slidably mounted on the frame (12), a pair of adjustable foot rests (28), and, on each side of the frame (12), a rotatably mounted flywheel (48), a driven wheel (50) secured to the flywheel (48), a rotatably mounted drive wheel (46), and connector means (52) connecting the drive wheel (46) to the driven wheel (50). A mock oar (36) is pivotally connected to a rotatable pivot stem (38) linked to a first universal coupling (40). The latter is connected to a drive shaft (42) which, in turn, is connected to a second universal coupling (44) connected to the drive wheel (46). Several frames (12) may be connected stem-to-stern.</p> |
