Alignment control for motorcycle headlamp beam width

The headlamp is mounted on pivots to tilt about a horizontal axis. A servo drive to the brake system tilts the headlamp upwards by as much as 20 deg. when the brakes are applied. This compensates for the dipping of the front suspension. The headlamp is held in the normal position by a sprung drive. The servo drive to the brake system is by hydraulic, pneumatic or mechanical means eg Bowden cable.
