Cathode ray tube mask support frame

The cathode ray tube has a perforated masking mask that is mounted within a frame behind the glass screen. The frame is formed from a flat sheet and initially is rectangular with four sides (46,50) and corner sections (50). The four sides are thinner than the corners, e.g. 0.5 - 0.75 mm and 1.0 - 1.5 mm respectively, and all are subjected to a forming operation to create a stable unit. The internal flange supports the mask.
