The laminated material comprises two similar layers (10,12) of stretched thermoplastic polyolefin film laminated together with an adhesive layer (30) of a similar polyolefin or a copolymer of this material. In a laminate manufacturing process two similar layers (10,12) of thermoplastic polyolefin or a copolymer of this are fed to a cooling cylinder (26) and an opposing pressure application roll (32) on a laminating machine while an adhesive layer (30) of a similar polymer or copolymer is simultaneously extruded between the film layers (10,12) to form the laminate (34).
