An adapter for a caddy, to carry bobbin sleeves of different lengths, has a holding spindle (6) on the caddy (1) with a stepped structure (8, 9) at the base to allow for cops and empty sleeves (10, 13) of different lengths (L, l) and inner diameters (D, d) at the bottom (11) of the sleeve. The diameter (D, d) of the holding spindle at the steps (8, 9) is set so that the longer sleeve (10) rests on the bottom step (8) and a shorter sleeve (13) rests on the upper step (9).
