The invention relates to novel compounds with cartilage-inducing and/or bone-inducing activity which have a high level of affinity with the extracellular matrix and/ or with cellular components of cartilage and/or bones of vertebrates and/or with a biocompatible carrier matrix for joint or bone implants, or bone adhesives. The action of the new compounds can be intensified, depending on the indication, by simultaneous inhibition of bone resorption. The invention also relates to the production of said compounds and pharmacological compositions containing said compounds which can be used to treat and prevent diseases which affect cartilage and/or bone, such as osteoporosis, and to treat and prevent damage to cartilage tissue and/ or bone tissue.
