1-(R1)-2-(R2)-3-(R3)-4-Methyl-thiophene derivatives of formula (I) and their salts are new. one of R1, R2 or R3 = -(CH2)m-Ph (ring substituted by X); another R1, R2 or R3 = -(CH2)a-C(H)2-n(CH3)n-(CH2)b-N(Ra)(Rb); and the third R1, R2 or R3 = H or methyl; m = 2-6; X = H, 1-5C alkyl or alkoxy or di(1-5C)alkylamino; n = 0-2; a = 2 or 3; b = 1 or 2, such that (a+b) = 4; Ra+Rb = H or 1-5C alkyl; or NRaRb = 5- or 6-membered heterocycle which may also contain O or a second N atom which may be substituted by 1-5C alkyl or ar(1-5C)alkyl, the aryl part being mono- or poly- substituted by halo, 1-5C alkyl or 1-5C alkoxy). |
