Reel winding mandrel for chemical fibres having improved vibration

An apparatus for winding chemical fibres has a rotatable tensioning mandrel mounted in a machine frame outward projection. The mandrel, which holds reel cores, has a cylindrical hollow space with a fixing boss at one end and, firmly connected to the boss and protruding concentrically into the hollow space from the other end, a drive shaft comprising two sections mechanically connected to each other by cardan-type joint, which shaft, fixed by roller bearings in an outwards projecting tubular mounting piece (2) in the machine frame, is softly mounted via elastic rubber elements. I.e., the shaft (9, 10) roller bearing (7) nearer the frame is fitted directly into a first bearing or receptor bush (4) which is enclosed, and supported via elastic rubber elements (17), by a second bearing or intermediate bush (3) which is gently mounted in turn via elastic rubber elements (17) in the tubular mounting piece.
