<p>A method and an apparatus for filtering liquid or pasty substances and/or separating components of the substances and/or particles present therein. The apparatus comprises a vessel (11) containing the substance (12) to be processed. The vessel is surrounded by a casing (13) containing a fluid (14) such as a heat transfer fluid. A sonotrode (19) provided on the casing (13) is arranged to apply high-frequency vibration to the substance (12) via the fluid (14) in order to promote the filtration and/or separation of said substance (12).</p> |
