The electrolytic cell consists of a first electrode 12 a second electrode 14 and an electrode mask 18. Located in the formed space is an active material 12' and an electrolyte 16 that can be a fluid or a polymer. The mask is produced of a material to provide a polymerised coupling and is typically of polypropylene, wax or silicon. The outer profile of the electrodes 22,24 align with the mask and internally the mask aligns with the active material. The manufacturing process consists of a continuous sheet feeding process.
