<p>A picture recording and reproducing device by which moving pictures are easily recorded and reproduced is provided at least with a picture inputting device for inputting analog moving pictures (videos), a picture capturing device which records moving pictures inputted from the inputting device, after digitizing the pictures and, at the same time, records the pictures which are reproduced with high quality at a high compression ratio, an information extracting means which extracts arbitrary information from uncompressed moving pictures captured by means of the capturing device, a correlation information generating means which correlates the information extracted by means of the extracting means with the compressed moving pictures captured by the capturing device, a display which displays the results of correlation by the generating means, an input means which designates the results of correlation, and a compressed picture restoring device which restores the compressed moving pictures.</p> |
