FAT AND OIL REMOVAL INSTALLATION

The installation for the simultaneous separation and removal of fats and oils in waste water consists of a container (1) with an inlet pipe (2) and an outlet pipe (15). Inside, there is at least one separation chamber (7, 8). The installation has a separate chamber (9) in which a drum (20) can rotate and into which are introduced oil and fat-degrading micro-organisms. The drum (20) can be electrically driven. There is a metering device consisting of a feed pipe (26) rotatable about a spindle (21) with an inlet channel by means of which fat and oil can be metered from the container hcamber (8) to the chamber (9) with the drum (20). From the base of the container (9) an overflow pipe (13) runs upwards outside the container chamber (9), the upper aperture of which defines the level in the container chamber (9). The purified waste water flows downwards and outwards from the container chamber (18) through the discharge pipe (15).
