The chamber's sides (31) adjoin one another in two groups opposed by a given distance to produce mutually parallel sidewalls (41,42) with a row of floor elements (32) placed on the walls plus a number of chamber end elements arranged on the endwall elements to close off the clear space limited by the sidewalls. The space is covered over by cover elements (34) placed on the top edges of the sidewalls via U-section metal stringers (35) having inwards and outwards facing support surfaces. Two or more cross-struts (36) are each coupled to the stringers at a point clear of the ground plan of the coffin (37).The width of the sides equal an integral divisor of the minimum dimension of the preset clear length of the grave and their height exceeds conventional coffin height.
