Paraffin yarn application monitor

The monitor involves a moving yarn (3) with paraffin and has a yarn guide after the paraffin applicator at a heat sensor (11), where the yarn passes through with friction contact. The signal (b) from the sensor (11) represents the friction heat generated at the guide, which is passed to a signal processing unit (16). The level of the heat signal indicates whether the yarn has been coated with paraffin or not. The sensor is connected (15) to the signal processing unit for the transmission of the sensor signals.
