To clear cross wound bobbins from a bobbin winder, when the doffed bobbin is deposited on the conveyor, the conveyor movement is started to bring the bobbin to its end, to the delivery point. While the bobbin is being moved, no other cross wound bobbin is placed on the conveyor. When the bobbin is at the end of the conveyor, it is removed automatically.
