Converting large stacks of paper into lines of stacks on single conveyor

The machine transports stacks of paper, cardboard or films that are intended to be cut up into e.g. notebooks or notepads. Two stacks are simultaneously transferred from a starting position to conveyors, with one stack being moved more quickly along one of the conveyors so that it overtakes the slower one on another conveyor. The second stack joins the fast conveyor to form single line of stacks. The machine for this process is also claimed, containing a conveyor (8) for each stack position (2a,2b). A device (12) transfers the stack (3,4) from the starting position (1) to the conveyor. The two conveyors travel at different speeds and the slower conveyor empties onto the faster one.
