The device has a housing (2) with an inlet (6) supplied with air from a motor-driven fan (3), and two outlets (9,14) at different levels. One duct (4) opens into the lower outlet (9), and another duct (10) into the higher outlet (14), with a controlled flap (8,13) at each opening (7,12). The third duct (15) contains a heat exchanger (16) in its centre and has a controlled flap (18) across its inlet (17). The mixture of heated and fresh air entering each outlet is adjusted by movement of its flap. All flaps are operated by a single controller (1).
