<p>PURPOSE:To prevent build-up of dust and soot on a drain pan by providing a nozzle for washing the drain pan to the upper part of the drain pan of an electrostatic precipitator. CONSTITUTION:Dust and soot deposited on the charged part units 2 and the dust collection part units 3 are periodically washed away with water spray injected through the nozzles 4 for washing the units and collected to drain 5 on the bottom part as sewage and discharged to the outside of the precipitator through a drain discharge port 6. Herein dust and soot which are light in specific gravity and free from hydrophilic property float on the upper part of sewage stored in the drain pan 5 and are not discharged through the drain discharge port 6, stagnated and deposited in the drain pan 5 after sewage has been discharged. The dust and soot deposited in the drain pan 5 can be discharged to the outside of the precipitator through the drain discharge port 6 by spraying water spray through the nozzles 7 for washing drain after drain has been discharged.</p> |
