Process for the production of L-amino acids by fermantation

Production of an L-amino acids comprises culturing a microorganism that secretes the L-amino acid and are auxotrophic for≥1 other amino acid. The culture is supplied with: (a) the carbon source necessary for growth and L-amino acid production and (b) the amino acid(s) that limit growth or amino acid production together with adequate amounts of other nutrients and trace elements in≥2 separate feed streams with different quantity-time profiles.
