PURPOSE:To give a comfortable feeling by generating a numerical string having prescribed correlations from random numbers and using this numerical string to determine intervals of longitudinal lines and transverse lines of unit areas forming an expressed pattern and determining the color of the pattern in accordance with the proportion of intervals of longitudinal lines to those of transverse lines which determine intervals of unit areas. CONSTITUTION:A random number initial value is set (step 5), and simultaneously, linear transformation coefficients a1 and a2 to an are set (step 6). A 1/f numerical string is generated by these set random number initial value and linear transformation coefficients (step 7), and another 1/f numerical string different in random number initial value from said generated 1/f numerical string is stored (step 8). This stored 1/f numerical string is related to a preliminarily prepared pallet 9 to determine a pattern (step 10), and the color of lines of a line drawing is determined (step 11), and the pattern of the line drawing having this determined color is outputted to a color plotter 12. On the other hand, the color of a unit area determining the pattern is determined in relation to the color of the pallet 9 and the pattern of the unit area having the color is outputted to a color printer 14. Thus, a placid mood is given to persons who see the pattern. |
