The apparatus for recognizing a fault of a monitoring apparatus and its touch function conveniently consists of a light receiving unit(1) which receives the infrared ray to photo transistors(PTR1-PRTn), a light emitting unit(2) which makes the infrared ray from infrared ray emitting diodes(LED1-LEDn), a screen unit(3) for displaying a fault state of a light receiving and emitting unit and a displaying unit(4) which displays a fault state of the infrared ray emitting diodes and photo transistors.
