<p>Paper curl in plain-paper printing is reduced by using an ink jet compsn. comprising an aq. carrier, a colourant, and anti-curl agent(s) with solubility in water of >=4.5% at 25[deg]C, and selected from: (a) a cpd. of formula (I) R(C=O)-NH2 (I),where R = 1,2,4 or 5C aliphatic gp.; (b) a cpd. of formula (II), where R1,R2,R3 =H, Me or Et; (c) a cpd. of formula (III);and (d) a cpd. of formula (IV) HR"N-C(+O)-NHR' (IV) where R',R" = H, Me, Et, n-Pr, or i-Pr; R' and R" together have up to 6C. An aq. ink for use as above is also claimed, the anti-curl agent comprising 10-75 wt. % of the ink.</p> |
