A process for producing a sheet type far infrared emitter comprises the steps of: mixing ceramic powder and molding a crystalized glass type base plate by Doctor blade of Spray drying; printing a heating element by using Ag paste on the base plate and drying; cacinating the base plate and the heating element at the same time at a temperature of 850-1050 C. The composition ratio by weight of the ceramic powder is 40-60% of B-spodumene or cordierite glass powder, 35-55% of alumina, 3% of ZrO and 2% of TiO2.
