PURPOSE: To provide a surface mount connector with simple structure and easily usable in a holding device by integrally forming a connector formed by connecting a contact piece and a base with a intermediate curved part from a conductive sheet. CONSTITUTION: Plural surface mount connectors are continuously formed in a material plate 19. A first intermediate contact part 16a is bent, and a first base part 12 a is displaced to the surface in almost the normal line direction relative to a first contact part 14a. A bridge part 14c is bent, first and second contact parts 14a, 14b are arranged in parallel, and a space 14d is formed. A second intermediate connecting part 16b is bent, and a projecting part 12d is inserted into a cut-out part 12f. By this constitution, when the connector 10 is soldered to a printed circuit board, molten solder flows in a gap 14d and contact parts 14a, 14d serve as a filled pin. The integrity of the contact pin or a test point can be kept during being held with a holding device and arranged in a land on the printed circuit board. |
